A Colourfro Journey Begins

Colourfro was created to celebrate one truth:

Africa is beautiful, brilliant, and full of stories worth sharing.

Founded in Cincinnati, Ohio, Colourfro began as a simple idea — to showcase the love and wonder of Africa through African-inspired clothing crafted with intention. But the vision quickly grew. We wanted to go beyond merch and create a space where culture, creativity, and community meet.

From bold patterns rooted in heritage to digital content that uplifts African and Black stories, Colourfro became a home for anyone who sees Africa not just as a continent, but as a source of pride.

In June 2023, life pushed us to pause. Financial challenges, operational hurdles, and the realities of being a small business caught up with us. Stepping away wasn’t easy, and to everyone we let down during that time — we are truly grateful for your patience and understanding.

But our mission never faded.

So we rebuilt quietly from Cincinnati, with more clarity and a renewed sense of purpose. And today, Colourfro has returned — not with noise, but with a meaningful spark.

We’re starting small, bringing back some of our best-selling African-inspired pieces while preparing new designs and expanding into storytelling, events, and digital content that uplift Black culture across the diaspora.
